The Accessibility and Learning Disabilities Department at the University of Haifa’s Deans of Students Office helps students with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, medical disabilities, and physical / sensory / cognitive / emotional handicaps. Professional counselors are happy to provide counseling, academic and personal support, accommodations for tests and exams, mediation with the academic departments, and other services. To check your eligibility to department’s services, please send a request during your admissions process.
Dormitory Administration Office -The Dormitory Administration office is located in the Federman Dorms, one floor above the entrance. The House Mother’s office is located there as well. Office hours are 9:00 – 14:00, Sundays through Thursdays. The office is closed on Fridays and Saturdays. Tel: 04-824-0621
Dormitory Guard – The dormitory guard is stationed at the entrance to the dormitories 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Tel: 04-824-0720
Laundry – Laundry rooms with washing machines and dryers are open and available for dorm residents 24 hours a day, one on the 4th floor in the Federman dorms, and one in each Talia building. Prices are posted on the machines, which accept cash or credit cards. You will need to supply your own laundry detergent.
Computer Facilities – There are a number of free computer labs with Internet connections in the dormitory facilities. The main lab is on the 6th floor of Federman, and it is open between 10:00 – 01:00 (1 am) every day, except Fridays. The labs reopen Saturday evening at 17:00. There are also smaller labs in each Talia building which are open between 17:00 – 01:00 (1 am) every evening, except Fridays. In Talia buildings 700-800, the labs are open between 10:00 – 01:00 (1 am) every day, except Fridays. The labs reopen Saturday evening at 17:00. During the daytime hours, numerous computer labs are open around campus. Wireless access is available around campus, see below.

The Student Union is a non-profit organization aimed at tending to the welfare and needs of UHaifa students and assisting them in various aspects of their students’ life.
Student Union members receive discounts on a variety of services on and off campus.
Student Union membership cards can be purchased at the Aguda’s office in the Hatter Student Building, 3st floor.

The Interdisciplinary Clinical Center provides physical and mental health diagnosis, treatment and prevention services. Its professional staff includes speech, occupational, art and movement therapists, clinical and educational psychologists, psychotherapists, group facilitators, social workers, physiotherapists and health and nutrition experts.

Students who wish to open an Israeli bank account can do so at Bank Leumi Branch 891 at Hanasi Blvd 123, Carmel Center.

There are four ATM machines on campus, located at the entrance to the Terrace Building, at the dorms near the Mini Market, near AROMA Café, and at Bank Yahav at the shopping arcade/ bus stops outside the Main Building.
Government Offices are usually open in the mornings, Sunday through Thursday. Please call them in advance to confirm their office hours.
You can renew or extend your visa at the Ministry of the Interior Affairs, located at Government House, 15 Pal Yam Street, Kiryat Hamemshala, Haifa. Bus #24 can take you there.
You will need to arrange an appointment in advance. UHaifa International’s welcome center can help you with this.
In order to renew your visa, you will need a letter from your department stating your full name and passport number, confirming that are indeed a student in that department + the exact dates (beginning & ending) of your study program.
After obtaining this letter, set a meeting with Ms. Revital Cohen from our Welcome Center to get the Hebrew letter and help you prepare for your meeting at the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
