Global Law Track

Global Law Track

In cooperation with the Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa, current law students are invited to study through the International School in the unique Global Law Program.

The Global Law Program brings together students from around the world for intense study of numerous aspects of law both internationally and in the context of Israel and the Middle East.  International students study alongside Israeli students in law courses taught by visiting faculty from around the world as well as professors from the Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa.  The program will take place every spring semester, though a few courses may be taught during the fall semester as well.

Academics

The semester will consist of at least six law courses. Each course will be taught intensively for a period of two to three weeks, meeting for several hours daily during this time.  In addition, University of Haifa faculty may teach courses for the duration of the full semester. All the courses are taught in English.

In addition, students are encouraged and recommended to take additional courses offered through the International School, assuming the additional courses fit into the student’s schedule.

Please find the available courses for the 2021-2022 Academic Year, here.

Co-Curricular Activities

To complement the academic experience, students are encouraged to participate in a full range of social activities, including trips, tours, celebrations, and lectures, as well as our volunteer program.  Due to the unique schedule of the Global Law Program, students may not be able to participate in all activities offered.

Eligibility

The Global Law Program is open to students who are currently studying law at their home universities.  American applicants must be graduate students studying law.  European applicants and students from other countries where law is taught as an undergraduate degree can apply as undergraduates.

The Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa is a member of the Erasmus Mundus Program in Law and Economics. The University of Haifa is a third semester university in this program.

The course list for the Global Law Program is posted on the Faculty of Law’s website here.
