Do you know how to speak and understand Hebrew but somehow skipped the reading and writing part? If so, come to the International School at the University of Haifa and be a part of our special two-semester Hebrew course that will strengthen your speaking and comprehension skills, and will teach you the aleph-bet to open up your world to reading and writing. After completion of this two-section course, where you will study level Dalet 1 (1ד)in the spring semester and level Dalet 2 (2ד) in the summer, you will be ready to immerse yourself in Hebrew and in your studies at the University of Haifa!
The spring semester courses will be held once a week, on Sundays, online via Zoom.
The summer semester will be held on our Haifa campus where you will be immersed in Hebrew (speaking, listening, reading, writing) and Israeli culture. Get ready for our social activities that include a variety of trips and tours around the country: from beautiful Haifa and the Galilee and Golan Heights to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. You will gain in-depth familiarity not only with the history of Israel through the ages, but with the face of the contemporary country as well.
The course’s goal is to bring you to level Dalet 2(2ד). Passing the final exam with a grade of 85 entitles you to an exemption from the “Yael” Hebrew exam, a requisite to be accepted to a university degree program. As an orientation to the university, during your studies you will meet staff members who will introduce you to our admissions process, to campus life, and to the various university faculties and departments open to you when you continue to your bachelor’s degree.
Security is our priority and when you are here, with us in Haifa, we will be in touch with you via our WhatsApp group. At the International School of the University of Haifa, we are your family, your home away from home, 24/7.
