Situated on the crest of the Carmel Mountains with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, and nestled beside the Carmel National Forest, the University of Haifa provides an ideal setting for your International Study Abroad and Graduate Studies experience.
The University of Haifa, established in 1972, is one of Israel’s leading research universities, and it is dedicated not only to academic excellence but to social responsibility as well. An exciting and inspiring cultural mosaic, the University of Haifa is a microcosm of Israeli society. The diverse student population of 18,000 students is made up of Jews and Muslims, Christians and Baha’i, Druze and Bedouin, new immigrants and native Israelis.
In the midst of this mosaic, for over forty years now, the University of Haifa International School (UHIS) has attracted thousands of international students. Today close to 1,000 students from over 40 different countries around the world enroll annually in UHIS various interdisciplinary and international programs where they learn and explore in an atmosphere of coexistence, tolerance and mutual respect.
We offer academically demanding programs that challenge students and expand their intellectual horizons in new subject areas as well as provide progress in their major area of study.
Students meet Israelis in the classroom, work with them through research, internship and volunteer opportunities, and live alongside them in the on-campus dormitories.
Our staff is available to help students 24/7 during their time in Haifa for any type of need: academic, practical, cultural and personal.
We invite you to join our mosaic.
See you in Haifa!
