The one-year MA program in International Relations with a specialization in Diplomacy Studies is intended to enable students to identify effective solutions to a broad range of political, cultural and economic problems with which they will be faced and be continuously involved (both regionally and globally) as bureaucrats, officials and decision makers, in the context of an array of complex negotiating situations and points of decision.
German and Modern European Studies
As part of the teaching activities of the Haifa Center for German and European Studies (HCGES), the International Master's Degree Program in German and Modern European Studies at the University of Haifa aim to familiarize students with issues related to Germany and Europe, and emphasizes Jewish and Israeli points of view, as well as the relationship between the Middle East and Europe.
Global Green MBA

The Weiss-Livnat International Master’s Program in Holocaust Studies at the University of Haifa is offered in collaboration with the Strochlitz Institute for Holocaust Studies at the University of Haifa and is dedicated to creating and nurturing the next generation of Holocaust researchers. Its aim is to provide students with a well-rounded curriculum from a wide range of disciplines and research methodologies.
The program examines Israeli society from a variety of perspectives, including Aliyah and migration; economics and politics; culture, religion, history and the ties between Israel and Jewish communities abroad. The one-year program is taught in English over three consecutive semesters from October through August.
International master's program in Jewish Studies, focused on Jewish history, philosophy and thought. The course offers a comprehensive combination of Judaic Studies that weaves together Biblical and Talmudic Studies, Jewish History, Philosophy and Mysticism. The course’s focus extends from the Biblical to Modern Era, and is taught by experts in the fields of Biblical studies, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Early and Late Antiquity, the Middle Ages, early Modern and Modern Jewish History and Thought.
The Department of Maritime Civilization is a unique institution that offers graduate studies (MA, PhD) within the fields of coastal and underwater archaeology, maritime history, coastal and marine geomorphology, marine biology and sea resources.
National Security Studies
The one-year MA program in Political Sciences with a specialization in National Security combines theoretical discussions and the reality of national security issues and is designed to teach strategic thinking in decision-making on various levels. The program consists of seminars and courses taught by leading academics in their fields of specialty, as well as discussions with professionals from the fields of intelligence, military, economics and policy.
Peace and Conflict Management
The international master’s program in Peace and Conflict Management is a rigorous program of study that introduces an interdisciplinary approach to peace and conflict management. Functioning in complex external and internal environments, governments and public organizations have to constantly adapt themselves to changing conditions and find innovative ways and tools to analyze reality and manage public affairs effectively and fairly.
University of Haifa, with the collaboration of the University of Warsaw, offers a special dual degree thesis track. Students will spend two semesters of study at each institution, including a written thesis. The focus on the role of collaborative diplomatic mechanisms is designed to provide students with new insights, concepts and analytical tools for fully understanding the enhanced functions of diplomacy in an international setting.
Marine Geosciences (MSc.)
Using the Eastern Mediterranean as a natural marine laboratory, the program provides students with a unique opportunity to develop practical scientific experience at sea, together with a rigorous academic curriculum.
